A little bit of work (like in the original one), but is easy to clean and assemble. The kit is overall perfect!

The miniatures are great.
Everything was well packaged and shipping was fast. I've already started painting.

Considering it's an old set and considering the price, I suppose you can't really complain, so 3 stars for me. Prepare to work on the models a lot before painting. If you are getting this for the characters, it's mostly fine. Some of the uruks tho' were really rough (the 2 holding the hobbits too, unfortunately!). Again: considering the price and the free shipping, I really can't complain
